Unit Test

Unit testing occurs when independently developed design components are tested in isolation or stubbed out systems. A stub system is a test fixture that provides information required from the subject system. Sometimes it is a scaled down version of the actual subject system.

Unit testing is often private under the purview of the developers. This is the last time that reported problems will not be permanently logged. Unit tests are often against the design not the requirements.
